In the last Johnson Consulting Group newsletter, we asked our readers to give us their thoughts on phone shoppers.  Below were the responses we received.  I enjoy sharing this data in the hopes that it will provide you some insights on your current training of phone shoppers as well as what other business owners and managers are seeing.  A few key points in the data below worth mentioning:

  • Most agree there has been an increase in the level of phone shopping calls.  If that is the case, are you doing something about it in the form of training?
  • ½ of the respondents do and the other ½ do not keep logs/tracking sheets of the calls.
  • Only ½ of the respondents conducted phone shopping training
  • Only a little more than 1/2 are referring to their website for information during the call
