Dealing with Price Shoppers Survey Results
In the last Johnson Consulting Group newsletter, we asked our readers to give us their thoughts on phone shoppers. Below were the responses we received. I enjoy sharing this data in the hopes that it will provide you some insights on your current training of phone shoppers as well as what other business owners and managers are seeing. A few key points in the data below worth mentioning:
- Most agree there has been an increase in the level of phone shopping calls. If that is the case, are you doing something about it in the form of training?
- ½ of the respondents do and the other ½ do not keep logs/tracking sheets of the calls.
- Only ½ of the respondents conducted phone shopping training
- Only a little more than 1/2 are referring to their website for information during the call

Johnson Consulting Group’s 2013 Excellence in Customer Service
In 2014, Johnson Consulting Group announced its winners of the “JCG 2013 Excellence in Customer Service Awards”. The Awards were presented to JCG client funeral homes who achieved the highest Overall Performance Scores from family satisfaction surveys sent to each family they served during 2013.
Not only have these results been critical for meaningful benchmarking, but we find more and more of our customers are taking the next step and allowing us to implement our incentive based compensation program along with these results. Combined, these are powerful tools for promoting high levels of customer service and average sales at client funeral homes.
